When tooth decay affects part of the pulp (nerve) of the tooth, we refer to it as pulpitis, and when it extends beyond the tooth structures, we refer to it as periodontitis. In periodontitis, there may also be radiographic changes around the tooth, such as a granuloma. <\/p>\n\n

Endodontic treatment is also applicable for previously treated teeth but with poorly performed initial treatment. It is not necessary to remove teeth with poorly performed initial treatment, as we offer an alternative. <\/p>\n\n

Microscopic Root Canal Treatment<\/h2>\n\n

The microscope is a crucial factor in the quality treatment of root canals. It is the only visual method for performing the treatment, providing us with better predictability of the outcome. The microscope allows us to see 25 times more, ensuring the thorough treatment of each canal in the root system. <\/p>\n\n

Treatment of Pulpitis and Periodontitis<\/h2>\n\n

The treatment of pulpitis and periodontitis involves the removal of the pulp content and is performed with special canal instruments in several stages:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Isolation with a rubber dam \u2013 ensuring impeccable sterility and precision during the procedure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Cleaning of carious hard dental tissues and exposure of the endodontic cavity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Manual mechanical treatment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Machine-assisted mechanical treatment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Irrigation \u2013 chemical disinfection of the canal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    The procedure is performed under anesthesia and is completely painless. After treatment, there may be slight sensitivity, which usually subsides within 1 to 3 days. <\/p>\n\n

    Root Canal Filling<\/h2>\n\n

    After mechanical and chemical treatment, the root canals are filled with an inert material that prevents further bacterial invasion.<\/p>\n\n

    Endodontic treatment concludes with a radiograph, allowing us to monitor the treatment results.<\/p>\n\n
